East Anglia house prices increase below National Average
December, 2006

According to a survey by national mortgage lender Nationwide statistics for East Anglia show that house prices have increased 7.5% in 2006, that's 1.8% below the national average house prices in the UK. That's great news for Property buyers looking to purchase in East Anglia in comparison to London's average increase of 11.3% or Northern Ireland's 44.1%! It's also good news for Property owners in the area who can benefit from an increased return on their long-term investment.

Land Registry goes on-line

The Land Registry has launched a new on-line service for people wanting to access information on a prospective new home. For a £2 fee you can check property ownership details, how much was paid, the property's boundaries and any restrictions on its use. It's great news for buyers, all this detail can aid in gauging the true value of a property thus possibly speeding up property sales and help stop some buyers paying over the odds.
